PaisaSpot assists you to file your own Income Tax Return (ITR) and claim your TDS refund if you are eligible. Any refund is processed by the Income Tax Department.
To help you file, PaisaSpot collects your name, phone number, email address, PAN card number, name as on your PAN, address, and the company or platform you work with. We never ask for your bank details, and we do not collect Aadhaar.
Before August 2026 we collected Aadhaar numbers, Aadhaar card images and, for some users, bank details. We no longer collect them. We are deleting this old data. You can ask us to delete yours now from Profile > Delete account, or by writing to support.
If you use Spot FM or Spot Rush, we also keep the username you choose, your Spot Energy and Rush Points, your game results, and (only if you use Race Nearby and allow it) an approximate area code worked out from your location. These are described in the sections below.
Your identity and PAN details are used only to help you file your ITR and claim your TDS refund. Spot FM and Spot Rush data is used only to run those features: leaderboards, rewards, friends and races. We do not sell or share your data with third parties except as required to provide our services.
All sensitive data is encrypted using AES-256 encryption. Access is restricted to authorized personnel only.
Spot FM is our live audio room inside the PaisaSpot app. When you join a show as a listener, your audio is never captured — listening is one-way and nothing leaves your device.
Shows may be recorded for RJ training and quality purposes. A recording captures the show as it was broadcast: the RJ, the music, and any listener who chooses to go on air by raising their hand. The app tells you before you go on air that shows are recorded, and shows a LIVE · REC indicator whenever a recording is running.
Recordings are stored securely on our own servers, are accessible only to authorised PaisaSpot staff, and are never sold or shared with third parties. We keep only the most recent shows (approximately the last 30) and older recordings are deleted automatically. If your voice appears in a recording and you would like it removed, write to us at the address below and we will delete it.
Spot Rush is a free riding game inside the PaisaSpot app. There is no real money in the game: you cannot pay to play, and rewards are Spot Energy and Rush Points only.
When you play, we keep each run's result (score, distance, time, finish position and in-game counts such as pickups and kicks), your Rush Points, levels and unlocked roads, so we can show leaderboards, check that scores are genuine and give rewards. Best-run races replay the in-game moves of a run, never anything about you outside the game.
Other riders can see your username, your score on the leaderboards (including Rider of the day), and, if you add each other as friends, whether you are online and your best score this week. Your phone number, PAN, refund amount and exact location are never shown to other riders. Riders who have received a refund through PaisaSpot may show a small tick next to their name, never an amount or date.
Race Nearby helps you find other riders in your part of Bengaluru. It is optional, and it uses your location only when you open Race Nearby and allow location access. PaisaSpot never asks for background location and never reads your location while the app is closed or Race Nearby is not on screen.
Your phone turns the location into a six-character area code covering about one square kilometre (roughly 1.2 km by 0.6 km) and sends only that code. Your exact coordinates never leave your phone and are never stored. Other riders see only a rough distance, such as "under 2 km" or "under 5 km", never a map or your area.
The area code is deleted 30 minutes after it is sent (a new one replaces the old one, so no trail is kept). To show a leaderboard for each part of the city, we keep a daily area record for 7 days. It holds the area code, the day's best score and a scrambled code that changes every day, not your name, phone number or account ID. You can say no to location and still use everything else in the app, including the rest of Spot Rush.
You can delete your account from the app, or at crm.paisaspot.com/delete-account. Your identity, KYC and bank details, Spot FM username and chat messages are deleted or anonymised. Records we must keep by law, such as payment records, are retained in anonymised form.
